Well I never thought....

Ok....so I've just completed W3R1 and I have to admit I'm very surprised - maybe I can do this after all!!! When Laura aired her view that "we're going to do 1 1/2 Mins then 3 mins" I really thought for a few moments that she had finally lost the plot....lets be real...2 weeks ago the furthest I had ever jogged was from the Lounge to the Kitchen to get a snack...yet now here was my virtual jogging partner telling me that I could run for three minutes, the looney! BUT....I stand corrected and Laura - if you read these - I am sorry that I ever doubted you....3 mins done and although I was starting to feel it at the end of the second set I got there....

I actually cheated at the end of W2R3 and instead of the 5 mins of (sorry) turgid music that was playing I put on the first few minutes of W3 to see what my next little task would be and when I heard I have to admit I was dreading it, but now, having done it once (and fingers crossed I can do it another couple of times this week) I actually feel like this might be working and the famous "graduate" title will one day be mine....

Do you know I think you'll be entering every week thinking the same thing, I really thought after my terrible w1 that I would never do this, but here I am w7r2 tonight and finding it easier every time, don't get me wrong you'll certainly have your good and bad runs, but the good will outnumber the bad
Well done

Hmmm - I think you might have an advantage over the rest of us. Four legs probably makes the work of running a bit easier. Not sure if dribbling is a benefit or a handicap though.

Oh wait - I see now. (:->)

Hope you don't take my post the wrong way - I do have a "unique" sense of humour that sometimes gets me into trouble ... Four legs or two, you're doing a grand job!

Believe me you can do this! A few weeks ago I struggled with the 1 minute runs, yesterday I ran for 20 minutes. It is so awesome to complete each run and it gives you the best feeling ever. Some runs are easier than others, but even with a bad run, you are still out there giving it your best shot. Be proud of what you have already achieved. :-)

Good luck with your next run.

Hi - thanks for the reply. Did W3R2 today and really felt I could do it and at the end even upped my pace a little....not too worried about W4 now (well not till Thursday when I start doing it!).

Never doubt Laura... it's amazing what she can get you to do. I, too, did 20+ minutes yesterday just 5 weeks after starting. Would never have believed it possible. Can't wait to start on week 6 tomorrow. And you'll be the same, never fear.

P.S. I just love the name!
