This is very common if you search the week 6 tags. Week 6 was one of my worse weeks ever. :-( Once you get into the longer runs, you may find you do better. Just go slow, take your time and know you can do this! Gayle

Ever so many people do seem to have found it harder than the 20 minute one. Strange but true! So don't despair, it was just a bad day and it will get better! :)
As Gayle says - go slow!

I did that run last night and found it really hard. Maybe it's another mental thing? You've run 20 mins non stop so you attack this thinking 2 10 minute runs will be a breeze and then it's not. Fingalo argued that going back to running with a break is a step back and maybe he has a point. I am really curious to see how I cope with 25 mins tomorrow. I think the programme so far has given me the confidence (listen to me....read earlier blogs to see how silly this is going to sound!) to know that I can do it but not sure how much fun it will be. Reading these blogs has taught me one thing...if you stick with it and take the good runs and the bad, you WILL graduate!

I believe week 6 is a touch of reality knocking some of us off our cloud 9- 20 minute run. I also think our body needs the intervals as we progress even if we feel okay and think its not needed. Sometimes we feel fine, so we push our bodies into longer runs too soon and eventually suffer an injury. We are doing a 10K training and had a week of a longer run so the following week went back to intravals and less running time. Easy peasy...not! Difficult, just like week 6 of C25K. This is telling me I'm progressing but just not there yet. We will all eventually get where we want to be! Gayle
